        I'll admit i watched the Swedish film version first, but this was still a thrilling novel that i had trouble putting down. It is a little different from the film in that the film is a little more streamlined, but the book has more time to tell the same story. I found very few flaws with the book (unless you count keeping me up later at night) and highly recommend it to anyone who likes a mystery or a crime thriller. A warning to those who don't like a bit of brutality - there are some brutal happenings in the book.

        Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
