Description

It’s the magic of Pixar that gets us every time. They got us when they turned children’s toys into animated survivalists, and they got us when they turned the art of scary monsters into a bonafied business.

Carl Fredricksen’s life as a toy balloon salesman and zookeeper with the love of his life turns sour when his wife falls ill and passes away. Wanting to fulfil the dream his wife and he had of living at the waterfall cliff of Paradise Falls, he ties thousands of balloons to his house to lift it from the ground to float away. Unfortunately he isn’t alone. There’s a boy scout determined to get his very last badge by ‘assisting the elderly’, who seems to have tagged along for the ride.

You can expect more of the same inspirational craftsmanship from the detail gone into every backdrop, character and situation with brilliant results. The film has won two Academy Awards for ‘Best Animated Feature’ and ‘Best Original Score’, and considering that this film still manages to make the toughest of viewers teary-eyed, you won’t regret owning this beautiful film.

I loved this movie at the cinema and I could not wait for the Blu-ray to watch at home on the big screen.

Kids and adults will love this movie also as it is very nostalgic and also very funny.
