Comments about COLUMBIA Manic Street Preachers - Journal for Plague Lovers:
I've alway thought that Manic Street Preachers was - and still is - very special, even if they've changed their musical attitude from being a revolutionary and desperate punkband to be a well-considered and mature rockband, intended for the big stadiums. But the good songs with political engagement have always been there, and Journal For Plague Lovers is the best MSP-album since The Holy Bible, the last recording with guitarist Richey James Edwards, before he disappeared in 1995. He left a collection of lyrics for the band, and that's how this record came into existence 14 years later.
It's been worth waiting for.
