Ian Brown's sixth album, MY WAY, debuted in September and is his first since 2007's THE WORLD IS YOURS. His previous albums have all hit the top 10, and MY WAY seems destined to follow the same path.

Brown, former singer for the Stone Roses, has stayed busy since the band's break up in 1996. For his latest album, Brown gleaned inspiration from the late Michael Jackson. MY WAY was modeled after Jackson's 1982 THRILLER. The final mixing for MY WAY even took place on June 25th, the day the pop icon died, which Brown said he considers a good omen.

Lead single Stellify kicks off the album with a bang and is bound to be headed for the number one spot. Other songs, such as Just Like You, Crowning of the Poor, and the cover of In the Year 2525, are also must-hears, along with all the songs on the album. Brown has said that any song which wasn't good enough was scrapped and replaced with a better one. After listening to this cd, that statement has a ring of truth to it.

MY WAY gives the listener songs to play for years to come, while it leaves him hoping there will be a seventh album from Ian Brown.
