Description
Far from the days of recording in a mice-inhabited countryside bungalow, Goldfrapp’s newest album ‘Head First’ is a fresh musical salute to the ‘80s, coming from their single ‘Rocket’. With plenty of synth-pop tracks taking mystical trips with a euphoric rush, this album should be plenty of reason to put on the fluoro and act a little crazy on your feet.
If you get to see Goldfrapp and see Alison sporting a pink jumpsuit, you know you’ve found the right candidate to represent the old 80’s nostalgia of ABBA and Olivia Newton-John.

Comments about MUTE Goldfrapp - Head First:
'Head First' is the fifth studio album from British electronic group Goldfrapp. This is a polar opposite album when compared to their last release 'Seventh Tree'. This album veers more towards the synthpop style of 2005's 'Supernature'. A erfect partnership between Alison's vocals and the synths of Will Gregory.

Comments about MUTE Goldfrapp - Head First:
Great catchy songs, but don't really hold your attention AFTER you've listened to them.
The album doesn't have the same depth that their previous albums had.
All in all, it's a great album but not good enough for Goldfrapp.

Really good record with all the right sounds from back in the day. Maybe not the most inventive record I've heard, but really good for what it is...

Comments about MUTE Goldfrapp - Head First:
The weakest Goldfrapp album to date, and by a long way. This almost sounds like radio-friendly Goldfrapp, as opposed to the boundary-pushing releases of their back catalogue. "Black Cherry" and "Seventh Tree" were my albums of the year when they were released, but "Head First" is Goldfrapp-by-numbers. It's not a bad album by any means, but it won't amaze the senses like the previous albums did.
