Comments about WEA AUSTRALIA ARETHA FRANKLIN - Take 2: I Never Loved a Man / Lady Soul:
These are widely considered Aretha's most classic albums. They contain some of her most well-known songs, including Respect and I Ain't Never Loved a Man. The other, less known tracks are also fantastic and Aretha's voice is in top form. The sound quality of these is also top notch, easily the best of the commonly available Aretha CD's.
Worth noting is that you get both albums in individual jewel cases with full artwork, so it's an even better bargain.

Comments about WEA AUSTRALIA ARETHA FRANKLIN - Take 2: I Never Loved a Man / Lady Soul:
This double CD from Aretha combines two classic albums for the one price. There are quite a few of Aretha's classics on these albums - ranging from the upbeat "Respect", "Chain of Fools" and "Groovin'" to the slower "I Never Loved A Man (The Way That I Love You)", "A Natural Woman" and "People Get Ready". Whilst this is not quite a 'best of' collection, I'd label it as great value for money and an even better introduction to the different facets that soul music has.
For someone wanting mainstream soul, I'd recommend the "Blues Brothers" soundtracks, anyone wanting to dig deeper - then this is for you!
